I took all the courage I could muster,
And re-wrote the stories told.
I picked up the sword,
And fought the dragon.
People begin to spread the word.
My fight has just begun.
I mounted my trusted horse,
Over and over again.
To set a course,
For the rest who live in the land.
This mighty Princess,
Had grown tired of fighting.
Her eyes grew tired from no rest.
Her strength was failing.
That was until she saw the knight in shining armor.
His eyes were full of compassion.
She thought of this man with honor,
Because he saved her from destruction.
Maybe princesses don’t need to be Saved,
From a dangerous tower.
Maybe they need to be saved,
From misused power.
