The Lord gives and takes away.
Jessica Railsback
The person who trusts in His ways,
He has but a stronger faith.
Not needing an answer for God’s case.
But all together trusting His Authority,
His loving kindness is our security.
Sustaining the hope of goodness.
He is Justice in its fullness.
Can we not trust in all he does?
Can we believe all that was,
Will ever be in the present future?
Is he not the one good ruler?
Trust the ever present truth,
That the faithfull God secured with ruth.
Peace that passes all understanding.
Comes with a greater understanding.
That it is well with our souls,
Despite not being at the controls.
Who can understand the creator’s decision?
Without seeing the grand scheme of eternity’s vision.
Many try to reason that if God existed then life would always be good, but I think that comes from narrow-minded thinking. God has eternity’s vision, knowing much better the depth and breadth of every situation. This poem tells of the goodness of God’s plans amid our short glance down the road of our future. I praise God because His plans have always ended in some form of betterment whether here on earth or on the other side of heaven.
