Hush the dragons in town.
R.D. Jess
Hush don’t make a sound.
Smile those rosy cheeks.
Hopefully no one knows whom he seeks.
No, you can’t escape his talons.
His grip is stronger than the lions.
He lands upon your back,
And you question what you lack.
Townsfolk do just fine.
They don’t understand why you fall behind.
Never knowing the dragon’s grip,
It should be an easy trip.
The dragon’s fire leaves its smoke.
From your bed you never woke.
It sits upon your chest,
Enjoying your lack of rest.
Solem is the dragon’s prey.
With hopeless cries they pray.
Lonely in the castle they stay.
For they feel there is no other way.
Some blame the silver sword.
While others say they need the Lord.
Was it their fault the dragon landed on their back?
Or did the dragon sense the faith they lacked?
