JUDGED BUT NOT CONDEMNED

Judged so that not condemned.
Broken so that you can mend.
To stumble but not fall,
For the weak to stand tall.
To be reminded what we need.
To cause sin to flee.
Is the reminder of a downfall.
To remind us of our faults.
To be drawn heaven ward,
And to read His Word.
Is redemptions correction.
The predestined protection.
For it is by grace,
That a sinner would seek His face.
It is His mercy upon me,
That I might choose to believe.
Judgment is not condemnation.
But a tool against temptation.
To set free a slave.
Who’s deeds were waved.
But found themselves wandering.
From a gift they were squandering.

Hi, I am R.D. Jess. I am a christian writer and postpartum doula. My relationship with my God is not a religion but a state of who I am. I love being there for others and find that writing the hard truth is the best way to make people feel less alone.
