Can but a moment whisper memories.
Jessica Railsback
Can but a song hum something sweet.
Cherish each one of those passing moments your eye sees.
Hold it close with every pitter-patter heartbeat.
Let its warmth fill your empty cup.
Let its stillness bring you rest.
Don’t let the loud voices interrupt,
The healing magic that is blessed.
Come now shining sun from above.
Come now the humbled heart of all we know.
Descend upon me like a holy dove.
Let the love of Christ fill my heart and overflow.
Pour forth your loudest praise.
Pour forth the cries of a servant’s refuge.
Let my right estimation purely convey.
The glory of the almighty God when you,
Bless someone’s life in just the right way.
A redemption story is often first ugly,
But is all so beautiful on the restoration day.
For it is but Christ who makes someone lovely.
Moment by moment a person will change.
Moment by moment the sky shines brighter.
Can not the hope, God freely gives us be gauged?
Can not God be recognized as a good writer?
Too often His goodness is only told when the sun shines forth.
Too often we stray from telling when the light has passed.
But is not God more than a compass pointing north?
Is not his faithfulness like the star’s light being cast?
How precious are the moments Christ is working?
Working all the time for something none of us can see.
Evidence that every soul has been yearning.
The proof, the assurance, and our guarantee.
