My heart is at rest,
No longer feeling obsessed.
Surrendered in full posture,
Trusting in the savior’s stature.
I’ve done all I can do,
Now it is all up to you.
The Lord gives and takes away,
Blessed are all his ways.
I do not understand,
Nor can I comprehend;
What is well out of my hands.
I do not need the answers.
My response is “Yes sir”.
Maybe yes, maybe no.
Maybe never, only God knows.
Once at surrendered rest,
The world begins to crest.
The sun’s rays land on the flowers.
It is still in the golden hours.
The breeze is felt on the skin,
And is warmed within.
To rest is knowing that it is good.
That things will move on, as they should.
Surrendered Rest is a poem that beautifully displays a heart that has fully surrendered to what life gives and takes away. Making the frustrating sense of the uncontrollable feel a little bit more peaceful. I hope you enjoy the poem about surrender.
