PETALS FALLING

It is like the flower petals falling.
A wave of emotions calling.
A bittersweet lullaby when you first see it.
When your youth see’s the sorrow in their eyes.
When the strength of a smile tries.
Nose and eyes are colored pink with different shades.
Until overcome by joy and bitterness fades.
Strong and fragile all rolled into one.
Vibrant and soft like the dawn.
Wish to reach out and touch.
Fear wonders if that is too much.
Can something so grand be so frail?
Write it down and send it in the mail.
Bearing the weight of a fallen tree.
Burning like the scorching tea.
Some sprout a mighty oak.
Or squashed insects that never spoke.
It would be darkness without reason.
Without hope that shines like a beacon.
If it were all up to chance; Moderated.
I think we would find it not orchestrated.
Yet every star, creature and land are a masterpiece.
I do not need to test the fleece.
I know the good that holds life together.
Trust in the winds that carry the feather.
Whether for me or for them,
Is the careful stitching of the master’s hem.
With each tick time passes bye.
Few may ever wonder why,
The flower petal falls slowly
Or the sorrow of the lowly.
