Silence was His lips
Silence is a mighty sound.
Commonly found in history.
Silent was my savior,
In times of waiting for His favor.
Now watch Him enter.
Under the shoats and palms,
Laid alms to a king.
Silence holds a heavy weight to be seen.
As if it knows that waiting events.
A silent king before man,
Listening to the lying plans.
No beating loosened His lips free.
Silence was the lips that died for me.

Crown of thorns
Crown of thorns upon your head,
Instead of the guilt I had.
Lash’s whipped your back.
I feel the sharp pain of that fact.
That you carried my sin and shame,
In pursuit of me. All the same,
A beating you took in my place.
Still forgiveness laid on your face.
Crown of thorns pierced your skin,
So that you might save me in the end.

Counted cost
I’ve counted the cost of following you.
I’ve counted and counted,
and I know what to do.
You are worth every cent I left.
I’ve counted and counted,
and I know you are what’s best.
You knew the price on my head.
Did you count it and count it,
While suffering for my Price?
Holding your tongue when they did not?
Did you count it and count it,
before chasing me at the cross?
