Silent ache

It is amazing what silence can do. Countless moments I wasn’t sure what to do.

what to say, how to be brave?

Where do you go from here, I felt like I disappeared.

I open my mouth to pray, but didn’t know what to say.

My words where going to break, but all I could do was ache.

My eyes looked up to heaven. Lord, I give in.

My hands where raised, I give Him praise.

Do you hear my ache? It was silent for goodness sake.

Words did not need to be said, He knew what was in my head.

I stood before my king, surrendering all of me.

My words where not a plea or a scream.

All I could say was let my words be prayed in faith, and He heard my silent ache.

I am a lover of writings and over the years I have collected a handful of poems and stories I have written. The more I wrote the more I realized I should do something with it, besides putting it in a box.

  1. Beautifully worded! This reminds me of the verse, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.”
