Bring me home is the ache of my soul. Its beat is a little and slow. How is it that I feel whole?
Bring me home into your arms. There I know I am safe from harm. Its not just some charm.
Bring me home to lay at your feet. A sense of peace that can’t be beat, and something I need.
Oh, bring me home I sing. I let its voice ring. All of its words leave a better sweet sting.
Bring me home because I can’t do this on my own. I have a heart of stone. You are my home.
Bring me home is my cry. This world leaves me dissatisfied. I wandered into the night.
Bring me home healer of time. I’ve learned my life isn’t mine, and everything is in your good time.
Oh, bring me home. I don’t want to let go. I am walking around with a weary soul.
Bring me home so I can be held. I don’t want the evil to dwell. I can’t do this by myself.
Bring me home It is you that I seek. I can’t speak. I find strength when I am made weak.
Bring me home because that is where I belong. I was made to sing your song. Don’t let this go on.
Oh, Bring me Home.
-R.D. Jess
A reflection of turning to Christ when you don’t have the words to speak. For those moments when you just want to be held and rest in Him. The phrase bring me home is to refer to Christ as our place of safety and comfort. There is no place like home. (our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ).
